A hologram is a just a projected image. It means the real event was captured sometime. When did she capture this image?
holograms could also be made up as long as she was able to scan the people to make 3d imaging and then computer graphics to make them look “normal” etc and other stuff

Those things require a different tool and she never got to take their original image that she’s projecting. All she could possibly have is an image of their disheveled selves – as the zombies. And she can’t just do as much as is shown in the next chapter with just a hologram projector.
